DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE VENUE BEING IN AN OLD BUILDING AND A LEASE WHICH DOES NOT ALLOW STRUCTURAL CHANGES, OUR ABILITY TO CATER FOR ACCESSIBILITY REQUIREMENTS IS LIMITED.
THERE ARE NO ACCESSIBLE TOILETS ON SITE. ALL TOILETS HAVE TO BE ACCESSED VIA STAIRS.
For events classified by the venue as dance music–focused club nights, all ticket sales must be processed exclusively through Resident Advisor (RA) unless an alternative is agreed in writing before tickets go on sale. Using another ticketing platform without prior approval may result in the event being withdrawn.
As part of this partnership, the venue will automatically appear as the hosting venue on the RA event listing and on the promoter’s RA profile. This ensures consistent, accurate listings and gives audiences a clear overview of the venue’s programme.
Ticket revenue is collected via RA and paid to Nocturno Arts Ltd, who then transfers the net ticket income to the promoter after the event has taken place. Payments are made on the Wednesday following the show, once post-event reconciliation is complete and bank details have been provided. Advance or same-day payment of ticket revenue is not available under this structure unless explicitly agreed in writing.
If you are VAT registered, you remain responsible for declaring and paying VAT on your ticket income. The venue acts only as a payment intermediary and does not manage VAT on behalf of promoters.
Promoter benefits of the RA partnership include:
Improved audience discovery through RA’s platform and ecosystem, helping events reach relevant, music-focused audiences.
Spotify integration, placing events in front of listeners discovering artists on the world’s largest streaming platform and directing them seamlessly to ticket purchase.
SoundCloud integration, allowing events to surface alongside artist and scene-related content.
Direct artist-fan notifications via the RA Guide app, alerting followers when artists are playing at the venue.
Official resale functionality, enabling sold-out events to continue generating revenue in a controlled, trusted way.
Advertising and tracking tools, including Meta (Facebook) and TikTok pixel support, allowing promoters to better track, optimise, and retarget their advertising campaigns.
Website ticket widgets, enabling tickets to be sold directly from the promoter’s own website while remaining within the RA system.
Premium promoter profiles and faster event approvals, reducing friction when listing events.
Dedicated account management support via the venue’s RA partnership to help promoters make the most of the platform.
**IMPORTANT NOTE** This ticketing requirement applies only to dance music club nights. Live and non-club events - including bands, live performers, songwriters, poetry, spoken word, and showcase events are excluded from the RA partnership and may use alternative ticketing platforms in line with the venue’s standard booking terms.
WE HAVE RECENTLY CHANGED OUR POLICY TO RESTRICT DRINKS RIDERS. PROMOTERS CAN NO LONGER BRING EXTERNAL ALCOHOLIC RIDERS INTO THE VENUE WITHOUT PRIOR WRITTEN PERMISSION FROM THE VENUE. THIS IS TO PROTECT PUBLIC SAFETY AND TO PREVENT THE DISTRIBUTION OF ALCOHOL TO THE PUBLIC.
ALL ALCOHOLIC RIDERS MUST BE PURCHASED FROM THE VENUE AT OUR DISCOUNTED SUPPLIER PRICES
WE MAY REFUSE THE PURCHASE OF RIDERS ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT IF A PRE-ORDER HAS NOT BEEN PLACED. ANY ALCOHOLIC RIDERS BROUGHT INTO THE VENUE WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION WILL BE CONFISCATED.
RIDERS MUST BE STORED AND POURED IN THE GREEN ROOM UNLESS OTHERWISE AGREED. THERE IS A FRIDGE SPECIFICALLY FOR ARTIST RIDERS IN THE GREEN ROOM.
IF THE ARTIST WISHES TO BRING THE RIDER OUTSIDE OF THE GREEN ROOM, IT MUST BE POURED INTO A PLASTIC CUP. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES MUST GLASS BOTTLES BE SHOWN THROUGHOUT THE VENUE. THIS IS AGAINST OUR LICENSE

WE USE OUR OWN ARTWORK TEMPLATES TO KEEP EVERYTHING CONSISTENT AND INSTANTLY RECOGNISABLE ACROSS OUR CHANNELS.
COLLAB POSTS AND STORY SHARES ARE OFFERED AT OUR DISCRETION TO EVENTS THAT ALIGN WITH THE VENUE’S DIRECTION AND ETHOS.
PROMOTION IS SCHEDULED CHRONOLOGICALLY, GIVING PRIORITY TO EVENTS HAPPENING SOONER. UNFORTUNATELY WE DO HOST 500+ EVENTS A YEAR, SO NOT ALL CAN RECEIVE THE SAME LEVEL OF COVERAGE BUT WE WILL TRY OUR BEST TO DO WHAT WE CAN WITH OUR SCHEDULE.
PROMOTERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO RUN THEIR OWN CAMPAIGNS AS USUAL ALONGSIDE OUR SCHEDULED PUSH.
WE OFFER AN OPTIONAL PAID META (INSTAGRAM + FACEBOOK) ADS SERVICE, USING DATA-DRIVEN TARGETING TO LOWER COST PER CLICK AND STRETCH YOUR AD BUDGET FURTHER.
OUR MARKETING STRATEGY FOCUSES ON REACH, CLARITY AND BRAND STRENGTH TO HELP YOUR EVENT GET SEEN BY THE RIGHT AUDIENCE.
DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE VENUE, THERE ARE SHOWS RUNNING CONSECUTIVELY ON THE SAME NIGHT. THERE IS A STRICT CHANGEOVER PERIOD OF 1 HOUR BETWEEN THE END OF A LIVE SHOW, AND THE START OF A CLUB SHOW.
IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT PROMOTERS FINISH LIVE SHOWS AT 22:00 TO ALLOW ENOUGH TIME FOR CHANGEOVER.
THERE IS NO OFFICIAL DRESS CODE, HOWEVER ANYONE WEARING ITEMS OF CLOTHING THAT MAY BE DEEMED OFFENSIVE OR DISCRIMINATORY MAY BE REFUSED ENTRY OR ASKED TO LEAVE THE VENUE AT THE DISCRETION OF THE VENUE STAFF.
DO NOT PLACE POSTERS ON PUBLIC WALLS. DOING SO CAN LEAD TO FINES OF UP TO £2500.
YOU MUST SIGN A COUNCIL CODE OF CONDUCT REGARDING FLY POSTING TO PLAY AT THE VENUE. THIS CAN BE FOUND IN YOUR CONTRACT. PLEASE READ THIS FOR MORE INFORMATION. THE COUNCIL WILL REQUEST YOUR DETAILS AND WE ARE REQUIRED TO HAND THEM OVER.
ARTISTS AND PROMOTERS CAN USE THE GREEN ROOM DURING THE HOURS OF THEIR EVENT.
THE GREEN ROOM IS A SHARED SPACE BETWEEN ALL PROMOTERS AND ARTISTS PERFORMING THAT NIGHT. VENUE STAFF WILL ALSO USE THE SPACE.
IF A PROMOTER WISHES TO HAVE EXCLUSIVE USE OF THE GREEN ROOM DURING THEIR EVENT, THIS MUST BE REQUESTED AND GRANTED BY VENUE MANAGEMENT.
THERE IS NO SMOKING IN THE GREEN ROOM.
THE GREEN ROOM MUST BE TIDIED AND LEFT IN THE SAME CONDITION THAT IT WAS FOUND IN.
THE VENUE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ENTRY FROM 12:30AM ONWARDS. WE RECOMMEND ADVERTISING LAST ENTRY AS 12:30AM TO AVOID PEOPLE BEING TURNED AWAY.
IF YOU HAVE LOST AN ITEM AT THE VENUE, PLEASE SEND US A DM DESCRIBING THE ITEM IN AS MUCH DETAIL AS POSSIBLE.
AS WE RECEIVE A HIGH VOLUME OF DMS WE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO REPLY TO EVERY ENQUIRY. IF WE HAVE NOT REPLIED, FEEL FREE TO POP INTO THE BAR AND ASK IN PERSON.
WE CANNOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY ITEMS LEFT IN THE VENUE, BUT WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO ENSURE ANY LOST AND FOUND ITEMS ARE RETURNED.
OUR LIGHTING SETUP IS FAIRLY BASIC BUT CAN BE SET TO DIFFERENT PRESETS. THE SOUND TECH ON THE DAY WILL SET UP THE LIGHTING FOR YOUR SHOW.
WE ARE RESTRICTED ON COLOURS AND WE CAN ONLY ACCOMMODATE RED, GREEN, BLUE AND PURPLE AND WHITE.

(CLUB SHOWS) IF NECESSARY, EXTERNAL DJ EQUIPMENT MAY BE DROPPED OFF AT THE VENUE AT 16:00, HOWEVER CLUB PROMOTERS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SOUND CHECK THIS EQUIPMENT UNTIL AFTER 22:00, ONCE THE LIVE SHOW HAS FINISHED.
PROMOTERS CAN SELL MERCH FROM THE BAR FLOOR ONLY. WE CAN PROVIDE A TABLE TO DO SO. PLEASE LET VENUE STAFF KNOW IN ADVANCE IF YOU PLAN TO SELL MERCH AT YOUR EVENT.
THE PROMOTER MUST BRING THEIR OWN CARD READER TO SELL MERCH.
ANY MERCH THAT IS LEFT IN THE VENUE IS LEFT AT THE RISK OF THE PROMOTER.
IF PROMOTERS OR ARTISTS WISH TO PICK UP THEIR POSSESSIONS OR EQUIPMENT FROM THE VENUE POST-EVENT, THIS MUST BE DURING OUR OPENING HOURS AND ARRANGED WITH VENUE STAFF IN ADVANCE.
A PICK UP TIME MUST BE ORGANISED WITH AN EVENTS MANAGER AND A BAR MANAGER (THIS PICK UP TIME MUST BE STUCK TOO).
LIVE SHOW SOUND CHECK: 17:00PM - 19:00PM
CLUB SHOW SOUND CHECK: 22:00PM - 23:00PM
LIVE SHOW SOUND CHECK IS LONGER BECAUSE OFTEN THERE WILL BE MORE COMPONENTS TO SOUND CHECK THAN YOUR AVERAGE CLUB SHOW.
IT IS IMPORTANT THAT PROMOTERS AND MUSICIANS ARRIVE AT THE START OF SOUND CHECK (17:00PM FOR LIVE) & (22:00PM FOR CLUB), THIS IS SO OUR ENGINEERS CAN MAKE SURE EVERYONE IS SOUND CHECKED ADEQUATELY BEFORE DOORS OPEN AT 19:00PM/23:00PM.
WE ASK PROMOTERS AND ARTISTS TO NOT LEAVE ANY EQUIPMENT IN THE VENUE OVER NIGHT, THIS IS DUE TO A LACK OF STORAGE SPACE IN THE VENUE.
IN EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES EQUIPMENT MAY BE STORED OVERNIGHT, HOWEVER THIS MUST BE ORGANISED AND APPROVED BY THE VENUE MANAGEMENT IN ADVANCE.
ANY EQUIPMENT LEFT IN THE VENUE OVER NIGHT IS LEFT AT THE RISK OF THE OWNER. THE VENUE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE OF THE EQUIPMENT.
THE PROMOTER IS ALLOWED TO USE THE VENUE’S SUM UP CARD READER IF NECESSARY HOWEVER IT MUST BE LINKED TO THEIR OWN ACCOUNT.
THE PROMOTER MUST SYNC THE CARD READER TO THEIR OWN SUM UP ACCOUNT. SO THAT ALL MONEY DEPOSITS LAND IN THE PROMOTERS ACCOUNT AND NOT THE VENUES.
THE CARD READER MUST BE RETURNED AT THE END OF THE EVENT.
THE BASEMENT SHOWS A SMOKE/HAZE MACHINE IS PART OF OUR DEFAULT SETUP AND CAN BE USED FOR ANY SHOW. THE SOUND TECH FOR YOUR SHOW CAN SET THIS UP FOR YOU AND ADJUST THE HAZE THROUGHOUT THE GIG.
FOR THE RADIO ROOM SMOKE/HAZE MACHINES ARE CURRENTLY NOT PERMITTED AS THEY SET OFF THE SMOKE ALARM IN THE STAIRWELL
